Sound Matters | Milwaukee, the Virus & Fundraising

Recently, my partner Marybeth Budisch and I asked ourselves a question: If we were raising funds for or leading a nonprofit and were faced with our current crisis, who would we turn to and ask for advice?

Our list was filled with those we knew have maneuvered through difficult times in the past, but as the weeks of the pandemic have continued, we have been impressed with the outreach of some of the nonprofit leaders today.

While most of the communication these days is in the form of email, snail mail, and web video, here’s a simple sound only message that a nonprofit leader - Glenn Kleiman, outgoing executive director of Radio Milwaukee, gave on the air to his listeners.

It’s less than 90 seconds and worth a listen - it’s a reassuring, hopeful message delivered in a form friendly to audiences online or on the move on mobile devices.
